The nice weather of late has brought the anglers out in force and with the fish feeding well some great sport has been had, with great rises in the evening. Dries in many guises have been working well including Daddies, CDC's, Sedgehogs, Shipmans and Klinkhammers, Wet flies fished high in the water like Bibio and Kate Mclaren's are also worth a cast. White Fritz and W.S.W. are also doing well. Local knowledge has helped regulars Matthew Hines, Jimmy Hill and Alex Shewan who have all returned double figure bags with Jimmy Hill also returning a fish of 8lb. Mr McBain released 30 trout over two visits, Ron Bell, form Laurencekirk, had 10 keeping 2 for 6lb, Bob Caird, from Dundee, released 11, Rob Kerr, from Portlethan, captured 10 on a lime green Buzzer. Steve Foster, from Aberdeen, had the fish of the week in his bag of 7, Steve returned a 3lb Bown and a perfect specimen 12lb rainbow. Gordon Pollard, from Portlethan, tempted 17 on various while Gary Marshall, from Banchory, released a fish of 8lb 2oz. R.I.P. - Sammy the Albino Brownie - Junior angler Jamie McAndrew and dad Paul murdered poor Sammy thinking he was a Blue. Paul and Jamie kept 8 trout for 19lb including poor Sammy, Billy Greig and Peter Philips released 11 and 12 respectively. Previous reports can be seen Here
