With water temperatures dropping and a full flow entering the system fishing is beginning to improve with some good bags being taken. Alan Jarvie accounted for the only taggie of the week earning himself £50. Mike Cumming kept two fish for 4lb 4oz then caught a fish of 5lb, Mr Morrison also retuned a fish of 5lb. Matt Hines, from Stonehaven, returned 10 trout which were caught mainly on Klinkhammers. Stuart Crockett, from Inverbervie, released 18 fish including 4 Brownies to 3lb 8oz. Colin Murray also brought to the net 18 keeping 2 for 7lb, 85 year old Jack Larnach did well to take 10 fish on an orange Minkie. Alan Noble treated son Gregg to a few hours fishing while on a trip up from Falkirk, Alan got a few lessons with Gregg winning 8 to 4, Colin Shand, from Aberdeen, in a 2 hour session caught 8 on various flies. Best fish of the week fell to Jimmy Hill, from Banchory, a cracking 9lb 12oz Rainbow. Jim Cross's Junior Trophy will be held on Saturday 13th September and will be open to all junior anglers aged 18 and under.
